Big Thanks to Amy Parrish!

Catalog_600_2 Custom_color_600 Deltail_with_close_up_600

Ever find someone who is simply an answer to prayers? Well, I found someone and her name is Amy Parrish.

She is a very talented and very very sweet photographer in Columbus, Ohio.  About a year ago she sent me product shots of Wild Sorbet and that she had taken on her own for her studio and blog. I was so impressed!  I later learned that she worked as a product photograper before opening her studio.  As you can see by these photos....she is very good!  She has also taken all the images of the corner samples that are on the website. It may not look like it, but it is very time consuming - putting the text on each one, not to mention the logos of each Designer that she place on the Designer's corner samples.  She has also been so patient with me and my deadlines - how I hate deadlines but when launching a new product they are a must.  But Amy was so dependable and professional I just can't say enough.  I just wanted to give her a great big Thank You and let everyone know who was behind all these cool shots.  Be sure to visit her site - www.amyparrish.com

Stop # 3 of my Inspiration Trip.....Sarah Petty

After spending most of the day with Jed and Vicki, Russ and I headed North to Springfield, IL.  Only 1 hour and we would be at our final stop.  We arrived around 6pm, grabbed some coffee and got checked in to a hotel.  I was determined to get some sleep tonight.
Full of excitement, we arrived at Sarah's studio only 1 mile from where we were staying.  It was just as I had pictured.  FUN and BRIGHT!  She loves color and it shows. She even had a small trampoline in her studio!  How fun is that?  My kids would have a fit!
First, we went to the coolest place to eat (I'll have to ask her the name of it and post it tomorrow) and then we stopped and did a little shopping at one of Sarah's favorite gift shops (really cute things).  When we got back to the studio we did a little brainstorming about some NEW Wild Sorbet stuff that is coming up and had a blast.  Sarah is full of inspiration and new ideas.  Russ and I got to meet Catherine and Grace (Sarah's 2 girls) and saw where HER inspiration comes from.
Just sitting around was so much fun. Russ ran next door and got us all Coffee and a sweet . It was a rainy Friday afternoon and we just sat and chatted about anything and everything for the longest. I am so ready to go back!  Sarah has so many great ideas and showed me her "Joy of Marketing" program for photographers.  It is amazing.  Every month she offers VERY valuable marketing info to her members and I assure you they are getting their moneys worth. If you don't know about it, check out www.thejoyofmarketing.com and read everything you can!

Below is a pic of Sarah and I holding one of our newest products that we haven't even introduced yet.......our Trimlings!  These are the cutest little frames!  Beverly, Vicki and Sarah all loved them!  They will be sold in sets of 3 and will be available to purchase  April 28th !  Get Ready!!!Me_and_sarah_1

Stop #2 of my inspiration trip.........Vicki and Jed Taufer

Day 2 and still so excited!  Even though Russ's cell phone alarm went off at 3:30am instead of 4:30am, I still had not slept.  Russ awoke at 3:30 to find me sitting at the desk in the hotel room fiercely writing down  everything I could remember Beverly and Tim saying.  Once we got on the road I tried to sleep but, as you can imagine it wasn't very restful.  We finally arrived in Morton around 11:30 to meet Vicki and Jed Taufer and tour this amazing studio.  This studio, once bowling alley is awe inspiring.  I have never seen so many creative uses for fabric.  And a Bamboo Fence for a ceiling?  Jed was re-modeling a back room that had to be finished in 2 days.  They were preparing for a community wide charity event that was going to be held in their studio with a possible 300-500 people to come through.  I was just so grateful that she found time for us.

It was such a beautiful day and apparently one of very few this year for Morton, so we grabbed a sandwich and all went to Vicki's home to eat outside.  It was very relaxing and Russ and I had a great time just chatting and hanging out - sure wish we had more time.  I learned alot from Vicki that day.  She has a vision but she, unlike many people in her position, with her notoriety, has it all in perspective.  She is down to earth, genuine and knows what is important in life. I felt as though she has her priorities in order.
When we returned to the studio she did a few things for Wild Sorbet (yes, we will have a big announcement VERY soon)  and Russ went to the hardware store in Morton with Jed and helped him hang some metal sheeting.  I sure wish we could have seen the room after it was finished!
Below are some pics we took of Vicki's stuio and our frames.Img_1730 Img_1760 Below is Vicki and me in the studio (really cool couch)  JeImg_1749d took the picture!

Stop #1 of my Inspiration Trip........The Walden's

WoW~ Is the best word to describe the last 3 days of last week.  My husband and I were able to leave our 4 children with Gran and PaPa (poor Gran and Papa)  and took off on the road to visit 3 of the most influential Photographers of the day.  Our first stop after leaving North Alabama was Lexington KY to visit Beverly and Tim Walden.  She and Tim welcomed us with open arms and we spent all afternoon touring the studio and even stayed for Dinner!  Lexington is Beautiful, if you have never been.  I just listened and soaked in all the words of wisdom I could from these two who, I could tell enjoyed sharing.  They were just 2 people who were alot of fun to hang out with.
Beverly and Tim's studio, if you didn't know is very focused and they have their own unique style for each type of photography they offer.  Our frames are offered in Studio B, their baby division of Walden's Photography.  Below are some images from their studio showing our frames and their unique (and I thought, very clever) way of housing our corners. Also, are some images of their fabulous studio as well. We finished dinner about 11:00 but Russ and I thought it was only 10:00 (we didn't realize we had changed timezones)  Anyway,  once we got to the hotel it was 11:45 before we got to bed and had to be up by 4:30 to leave at 5:00am so we could be in Morton, IL around 11:00 to have lunch with Vicki Taufer!  I DID NOT SLEEP A WINK!!!                                                                                                                                             Studio_b_gallery_wide_shot_3   Studio_b_gallery_girl_crib_presenta Studio_b_gallery_frame_corners_3

Check out our Video with Vicki Taufer!!

Yep, while at Imaging 2008 in Tampa we were asked to shoot a video about our cool new product for IUSA tv.  Vicki Taufer was there and was so sweet to agree to do the shoot with us.  Her time was VERY limited  and she was in VERY high demand . (I think she will need a vacation after Imaging...LOL)

go to http://iusatv.imagingusa.org/2008/01/expo-spotlight.html and click on "click here to watch the video".  Just keep watching and you will see us.  Vicki is interviewed first and then I get to speak about Wild Sorbet.  It was so much fun!

Wanted to post a pic of one of our BIGGEST sellers at the show.  We call this our "CRIB FRAME"  This is a 15x30 6" frame in Strawberry Parfait with Lime Sherbet Wavy trim.   If you can show this to your Moms (either in the catalog or on your studio wall) when they come it for their maternity shot or just come in to schedule their baby plan........simply ask them what they plan on putting over their baby's crib! When they freak out and say "Oh please!! I have no idea!!" you can show them this and  ta da! Their problem is solved and if you can get them to commit to this and go ahead and pre-pay for the frame or 1/2 of it...you have just guaranteed yourself a 15x30 image sell at that Baby's first shoot!  WAY TO GO! (you are such a great marketer!) Trust me ....it wo05_4rks! Another size that will go great over a crib is a 18x36 6"  We also sold several of those, I just don't have an image to post of it over a crib right now.
